Vermont FHC is a field hockey club affiliated with the University of Vermont field hockey program. Started by four coaches with a dream of continuing the growth of field hockey in Vermont, our mission is to provide greater exposure to the sport of field hockey, and opportunities for young athletes in the state of Vermont. We focus on developing skill, tactical understanding, confidence, camaraderie, and competitive spirit for athletes between the ages of 6-18.

Our staff is comprised of the UVM staff: Head Coach Kate Pfeifer and Assistant Coaches, Marlee McClendon, Haley Buffenbarger, and Bernice Garnett. We also have 4-6 student athletes who will coach with the club each semester, and additional staff members that will provide strength and conditioning training, team building workshops and recruiting consultation for older athletes. Started and coached by 4 collegiate field hockey coaches, Vermont FHC knows what it takes to train players for every level of field hockey!

At every season we will provide opportunities to practice and play in tournaments at the regional and national level based on your goals within the sport of field hockey.
