VERMONT FHC TIER SYSTEM
Vermont FHC uses a Tier System, designed so that we can offer a field hockey experience catered to all developmental levels. This helps target the correct level of training for your child as well as minimize conflicts that may arise from differing levels of commitment, especially due to multi-sport athletes. Each season you will have the opportunity to choose which tier you would like to participate in based on your availability and field hockey goals.
Tier 1
Tier 1 membership does not include any tournaments. Tier 1 is great for anyone looking to learn field hockey or continue developing their skills with our high level coaching staff. This tier is possible for any U8 - U19 athlete.
Tier 2
Tier 2 membership will include both practices and regional tournaments. Tier 2 membership is possible for U14-U19 athletes and pending interested U8-U12 athletes as well. This tier will attend tournament such as Regional Cup, Kids Cup, Lucky 7’s, and the Shooting Stars Indoor Tournament.
Tier 3
Tier 3 membership will include practices, regional tournaments, and a commitment to attend any national tournaments during the season you are participating in. Athletes committing to the Tier 3 level should be able to attend at least 75% of practices. This tier will attend national tournaments such as Shooting Stars Showcase, Sunshine Showcase, National Indoor Qualifier/Tournament, and the Regional/National Club Championship.
